Bucharest Downtown

Just a brief recap of portraits I´ve been recently shooting…

A great number of families are living in Downtown Bucharest in buildings declared by the local government as inhabitable. The following family kindly let me take a few pictures and told me about their story. They are living in a 15 sqm apartment with 8 people in total. 2 years ago they moved to Bucharest looking for better opportunities and money. Now they want to move to Spain, since according to them, people in Spain are more open to giving them money, and also there are better job opportunities.

They are currently in need of clothing and food for the small child. For money, they usually ask in the streets or get temporary jobs in constructions…

Comments and critics welcome.
