Christmas in Ferentari

Last Tuesday I had the opportunity to document two christmas parties in schools in Ferentari for the Policy Center for Roma and Minorities – NGO. Ferentari is one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Bucharest, composed mostly of Roma ethnics.

The schools were wonderful, and it grabbed my attention that in one of the them, music and dancing was used as a key tool to teach the kids. They did an incredible dancing demonstration.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the NGO to participate as a volunteer, they are doing an excellent job.

Just a few picts from that day.
