Shooting from the Hip….

Shooting from the Hip, loved by many and seen by others as a trick to avoid cowardliness and confronting situations in street photography.

I usually try to avoid it, since it seems to be leaving part of the picture to luck and not and actual composition technique. But we have to admit it does allows us to come really close, and when done correctly some really interesting picts can come out.

None of my cameras have a tilt screen, which will make things easier, so I measure manually, as setting the focus point, and then try to get as close as possible without being notice… must of the time is garbage, but once in a while a nice surprise….
