Recently I met with rider Alexej Fedorov to do a series a shots he could use for his endorsement in mountain bike riding. I am more of a portrait shooter then a sports shooter, actually haven’t done much of sports in a long time, but still decided to give it a shot.
Taking the picts was actually harder then I was expecting, everything goes really fast and coming out with something interesting was not as easy as I thought…. But thanks to the riders experience and patience we manage to get a couple of shots. I use to do mountain bike also, so spending time in the mountain taking the picts brought me back some good memories of when I used to ride.
Flash was used to freeze the action, a sb900 and a sb600. Both set up manually and fired with some Chinese triggers. I tried using the su800 but was having erratic results; sometimes they fired sometimes not. This also happen with the triggers, but mainly because of the continue shooting speed. I used mostly the 20mm for a wider view.
Hope you enjoy the picts….
